Scripture Reading; Isaiah 60:1-14

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD. All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory. Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted. The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.’

Isaiah 60-62 forms a unit that deals with the future of God’s people. You must read Isaiah 60-62 to get the whole picture. I have been reading Isaiah but I spent quite a while on 60-62 because it applies to me personally and also to this church as a whole. I should say that Isaiah 60-62 impressed me greatly and I felt YHWH was telling me something important: telling me it is time. YHWH wakes God’s people up to receive strangers who have come to worship him in their temple/churches. These foreign delegates bring with them great riches to offer as sacrifices to God. God no longer shows anger but compassion to His people. Righteousness and peace will replace violence and destruction in His people’s lives. God anoints his people to preach good news to the poor, to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and to proclaim that God’s day of vengeance has come. Ruined cities and devastated land will be restored. God’s people will become priests for the world and experience everlasting joy. So God’s people sings God’s praise. What can we learn from this portion of scripture?

1. The Declaration to Shine

Isaiah 60:1-2 says, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”

Here YHWH is imploring us to be what we are called to be and for the world. I am to shine. Light is a metaphor for YHWH’s presence, spiritual holiness. God’s presence and spiritual holiness is upon me and I am to shine. God’s glory is used in context of light, agricultural abundance. Brightness is an aspect of God’s glory. It is not merely the Shekinah, or cloud of glory, such as rested above the Ark in the Old Testament but the glory of the LORD in person. The Living Bible put it so accurately. It says, ‘For the glory of the LORD is streaming from you.’ God’s glory as a person is upon me. You asked, how is this possible?

Well, Isaiah 62:1 gives the answer. “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me because the Lord has anointed me; he has sent me to preach good tidings unto those who are cast down; to bind up the wounds of the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those that are bound;”

It describes the means of God’s blessing. There are three truths here: Firstly the Spirit of the LORD will come upon me. I will be anointed. Anointing symbolized conferring of holiness and authority, set apart, scheduled for a specific role. The Hebrew word for ‘Messiah’ is related to the verb for anointing. He has sent me to preach good tidings. Secondly, the gift of the learned. This is the second truth which the LORD told me in Isaiah 50:4-5. It says, ‘The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.’ YHWH taught me how to speak a word to him that is weary. Morning by morning I hear as the learned. This speaks of the importance of devotion. In my morning by morning devotion, I am given his words of wisdom so that I may know what I should say to all these weary ones. Morning by morning he wakens me and open my understanding to His will. I am a disciple of Jesus and I credit Jesus for giving me knowledgeable speech. I shared in the congregational prayer last week that I was remined of the spiritual download that I receive from Pastor James. He saw a scroll hanging in the air, opened facing me. In the scroll was written the Word of YHWH which is actually the instruction, point by point. When I have my devotion, I will receive these instructions and I am to follow these instructions. I will be:

A. Gifted to listen
B. Gifted to encourage
C. Listens to the hurting, weary ones.
D. I will not be disobedient
E. I will become a disciple

Actually the word ‘disciple’ is a rare word here. Usually it is translated ‘taught’. As a disciple I will be taught. As a result I will be able to perform a few tasks:

a. Sustain the weary one
b. Speak a word in season to him who is weary
c. Strengthen the weary
d. Give a word of comfort to the weary
e. Speak timely words to the weary
f. Console the weary.

Who are weary? Weary is defined as the physically and mentally exhausted by hard work, exertion, strain. They are the fatigued, tired. They are also those who grow impatient or dissatisfied with something: they have weary eyes or weary brain.

Thirdly YHWH gives discernment. Isaiah 28:6 says, ‘He will give discernment to the one who makes judicial decisions, and strength to those who defend the city from attackers.’ YHWH gives discernment. Jan was asking me why some Christians are so nice and good and yet they cannot tell who is a bad person or a good person. And they align themselves foolishly with these bad people. Well, YHWH can give discernment and one of the gifts a Christian should ask YHWH for is the gift of discernment. He will give discernment to the one who makes judicial decisions. A person who has discernment has a spirit of judgment. Because many times we have to make judicial decision on important issues. And we can make a right judgment. Because YWHWH wants what is just and faithful and so we need to have the gifts of discernment to make the right judgment . In my family we always say that out of the four of us (now I have to say five because I have a son-in-law); many a times Jan is the one who doesn’t have discernment. Joy is very sharp and can see things quickly whereas Jan cannot. Jan at times will describe how good a person is and how wonderful he is and the next moment she is quiet about that person because something not good will come from that person and she realizes that she cannot be in companionship with that person. As Christian we have to drive enemies from our gates, house, family and even the church. We have to prevent attacks on our family, house and church. So we cannot be companion with unjust people, So how? Have discernment. And discernment comes about by morning by morning devotion. YHWH gives wisdom to have understanding. I want to say that discernment is a gift but it can also be acquired by waking up morning by morning to learn from YHWH.

2. The Condition of the Present World

Isaiah 60:2 ‘For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.’

Darkness shall cover the earth. This is not just physical darkness but spiritual darkness caused by sins. It is not just darkness but gross darkness upon the peoples of this world. This darkness and despair would cover the earth. A key to understanding the truth of these chapters is to remember that Isaiah did not separate the material world from the spiritual world. We exists in a moral, spiritual darkness that is prevailing everywhere. The Living Bible paraphrase this darkness as ‘darkness as black as night shall cover all the peoples of the earth.’ What is this darkness?

a. Darkness of moral guilt
b. Darkness of religious error
c. Darkness of spiritual ignorance. There is such a connection between ignorance and darkness. Another word for ignorance is blindness. As to spiritual things, the peoples of the earth are blind, in ignorance and in the dark.

And this darkness is deep, profound and awful. Actually if translated properly, this verse is informing us of the thickest darkness on nations. There is such an evil sensuality never seen in history. Just this week alone, we read in Manchester, an Indonesian student who was an engaged member of society (he was involved in some caring work for society) and who was studying for a PhD at Leeds University. But behind closed doors, the 36-year-old students prayed on more than 190 men in Manchester, drugging them before sexually abusing them while filming the attacks. For over two and a half years, this Indonesian remained unknown to the police until one of his victims woke up during an assault and fought him off, before reporting the Indonesian to the police. Here I am not talking about a man raping a woman but a man raping men; not 1 but 190 men. In Japan we are witnessing, again, just this week, the trial of a Japanese man who stabbed to death 19 disabled people at a care home. This darkness now overspreads earth through the prevalence of popery (doctrines and system of government), infidelity and immorality. This darkness can be defined as ignorance, idolatry, all kinds of errors and vices. The way the KJV defines this darkness is poetic. It is designed to turn the attention to the fact that all the whole world would be enveloped in deep spiritual night. How to overcome this darkness.

But in the midst of this, the glory of YHWH shall be seen upon me. YHWH will allow the darkness which covers all humans to remain. But His light of revelation and salvation will rise and seen upon me. I think we need to connect with God.

3. The Promise to God’s People

Isaiah 60:3-4 says, “And the Gentiles shall walk to thy light, and the kings to the brightness of thy birth. Lift up thine eyes round about and see: they all gather themselves together; they come to thee; thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.”

Gentiles shall walk to thy light. They shall seek out thy light and come to thy light. Kings even will come to the brightness of thy born-again birth. They shall come with gifts and praise. They will gather together and come to thy light. Adam Clarke writes, ‘The subject of this chapter is the great increase and flourishing state of the Church of God by the conversion and accession of the heathen nations to it. There is a difference between Paganism and Heathenism. Paganism are those that worship idols. Heathenism are those that do not know there is a God. These heathen people that do not know there is a God or do not know God will come to know Him. We are given a role here. To help the cast down.

We are to bring good news to the suffering and the afflicted. We are to bring a favorable announcement. YHWH sends a herald of good news; message will be one of hope and forgiveness to the outcast, ostracized and socially oppressed. We are to bind up the wounds of broken hearted. We are to proclaim liberty to the captives. We are to open the prison of those that are bound. We are to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor. To proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor is to announce the time of God’s favor has come. It is significant to notice that the favorable year and the day of vengeance occur at the same time. The time of God’s favor also refers to the years when slaves were freed and land was returned to its rightful owners. It is supposed to occur every 50th year; allusion to the year of Jubilee. This was a year of release from all debts and a return of all lands to the original owners every 50 years.

Isaiah 60:5 says, “Then thou shall see, and thou shall shine, and thine heart shall marvel, and be enlarged because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the strength of the Gentiles shall have come unto thee.”

When all these take place, I shall see and shall be radiant with thrill and joy. I shall marvel and be enlarged. It means the abundance of people shall be converted to me. The wealth of sea faring people, the wealth of nations shall flow to me. The strength of Gentiles shall come to me.

“For the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish from the first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, who has glorified thee.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:9‬ ‭JUB‬‬ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Isles always refers to coastland; a metaphor for Gentile Nations.

“And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall serve thee; for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my good favour I shall have mercy on thee.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:10‬ ‭JUB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Maybe many of people felt that your lives has been an affliction. Well YHWH says his judgment on you is parental in nature meant to cause you to return to Him. Two major actions of YHWH are mentioned here when dealing with you: Wrath and Grace.

“Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that the strength of the Gentiles may be brought unto thee, and their kings guided.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:11‬ ‭JUB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

The gate of the church should be opened continually. Security is assured, available and certain concerning the church. So that the Gentiles can be brought unto us and prominent people, leaders in society represented by the word king can be guided.

“For the people or the kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish and shall be utterly wasted.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:12‬ ‭JUB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Here YHWH told me that people that will not serve me will perish. I thought of so many people that will not serve Pastor Lily and I whether in my home or in this church that will not serve me perish and utterly wasted. Please I am sharing from the word of God. And if you have problem with this truth, your quarrel is with God.

“The sons also of those that afflicted thee shall come humbled unto thee; and at the steps of thy feet all those that despised thee shall bow themselves down; and they shall call thee, The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:14‬ ‭JUB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

The sons of those that afflicted me shall come humbled to me. At the steps of my feet all those that despised me shall they bow down. God does this not because Israel is so great and has earned this as an achievement through hard work. He does it that I shall know that YHWH is the LORD, savior, redeemer and the Mighty one. He does so great a job that all know it is His doing.

“And thy people shall all be righteous; they shall inherit the land for ever; they shall be shoots of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:21‬ ‭JUB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

In Singapore most of the home owned by its citizens are 99 years lease. The reason the government gave is that we have to think of the next generation. Well if you know the bible, for the land of Israel (3500 years has passed) belongs to the people of Israel eternally. In the 1000 millennium, the land of Israel still belongs to Israel. At the year of Jubilee all lands have to be returned to individual Israel who pawned or sold them. Etab bought this land. And I believe if we serve God properly, this land shall be part of the land of God’s people forever. We shall inherit the land forever. When we consider here the context of Isaiah’s prophecy, it is made even more precious. Because in much of this book, he speaks from before the time of the Babylonian captivity and exile. That is 2500 years ago. To these dispossessed people of God, YHWH points them to a day when they shall inherit the land forever. In 1948 Israel became a nation and step by step they began to take back all the land that was promised by God for them. Why? Because they are so good? No but because YHWH says it will be. Therefore it will be the work of God’s hand that the land was returned to Israel and YHWH shall be glorified. As I say the Middle East Nations, the Palestinians that claimed the land belongs to them; their quarrel is not with Israel concerning the land but with YHWH.

“The small one shall be as a thousand; the youngest as a strong nation; I the Lord will hasten it in its time.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:22‬ ‭JUB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

YHWH will hasten it in its time; hurry it along, expedite it in its time.

v“But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord; men shall call you the Ministers of our God; ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and with their glory ye shall be lifted up.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:6‬ ‭JUB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

You shall be named priests of the LORD
Men shall call you the Ministers of our God
You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles
With their glory you shall be lifted up

“Instead of your double shame, and your dishonor, they shall praise you in your inheritance; therefore in your land ye shall possess double, and ye shall have everlasting joy.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:7‬ ‭JUB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Instead of your double shame and your dishonor, they shall praise you in your inheritance
Therefore in your land he shall possess double portion of prosperity
You shall have everlasting joy

“For I the Lord love that which is right, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will confirm your work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:8‬ ‭JUB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

YHWH loves that which is right
YHWH hate robbery
YHWH will confirm my work in truth
YHWH will make an everlasting covenant with them

“And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles and their offspring among the peoples; all that saw them shall acknowledge them that they are the seed which the Lord has blessed.”
My physical descendants (my children), my spiritual descendant (all of you) shall be known and honored among nations and all shall realize they are a people God has blessed.

4. The Challenge

“For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace; and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest until her righteousness goes forth as brightness and her saving health is lit as a flaming torch.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭62:1‬ ‭JUB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

I titled my message as ‘It is time’. It is now and not tomorrow. The time has come. In our present condition, something is missing. I do not know about you. But I have been feeling that something is missing. Hopes and dreams had not been brought to reality. Even for some in the church, despair and frustration is prevailing around you. So how do you respond and what is the challenge?

For Zion’s sake, I will hold my peace – keep silent or be quiet. ‘I’ is a reference to the New Servant. Again this has reference to us becoming someone different; new. I am implored to not rest until her righteousness goes forth as brightness – again brightness is connected with the presence of God. Brightness is connected with the light. My saving health is literally as a flaming torch. We are meant to be the light to the darkness of paganism and fertility. But we are captured by them. Our lives many a times is one of defeat, mediocrity and deadness all around. But here YHWH says we are not to rest until righteousness and salvation prevails. Righteousness and Salvation speak is of the position and lifestyle of the people of God – physical deliverance from the enemies Salvation primary refers to physical deliverance in the Old Testament In the New Testament it refers to spiritual forgiveness and a right standing before God Because if I love the church and my heart yearn for her, I will not ease to pray for her or to cry out to God on her behalf until she shines forth in her righteousness and is glorious in her salvation. Isaiah prophesied in a time when Jerusalem was still a functioning city but was spiritually corrupt. Isn’t that the condition of the church today and God’s people are more often than not in this state? ‘I will not rest’ is a reference to an individual who will not rest until this prophecy is fulfilled. Yet at the same time, this prophecy has reference to YHWH who will not rest until it is fulfilled. As God is concerned with the area of Israel as an actual material place, it also stands in a more general sense as a representation of all of God’s people including the church. Here I am reminded of Jacob. He was called Jacob, a supplanter and yet he says he will not let go until God bless him. The right word to describe Jacob in that incident is that he wrestled with God. I am also remined of Daniel when the time is the exile (the outcast) is up, he went into a time of seeking God. Daniel says, ‘So I gave my attention to the LORD God to seek him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.’ It means literally he turn his face to the LORD; a personal intimacy of prayer, faced the temple as if God’s presence remained there .I cannot forget in 2018 September when I finished one month of fasting and as I step into the church and I remember clearly Pastor Lily was teaching on the SCG, and God says, ‘You are not allowed to stop fasting’. I was taken aback and I obeyed God. Now, I felt that God has something in store for me personally and also for this church. Now as I come to Isaiah 62 and we have just entered a New Year, I felt that God wants me not to rest, and like Jacob; will not let God go and like Daniel knew that the time of God’s favor or shining has come, I must not rest until I see the fulfillment of the Promise of Isaiah 60 and 61. I told you that when I read Isaiah 60-62, something stirred inside me. I laid hand on the iPhone with the chapter appearing on the screen. We are starting our one month fasting. Let this fasting go forth to God saying, I will not rest until I see the fulfillment of all the promises you have spoken again and again in the bible to me. I don’t know how to explain clearly but I felt that the time has come and I have to press in, not resting until I see all the fulfillment of God upon me individually and the church come to pass. If I do that Isaiah 62 will take place.

Isaiah 62:6-7 says ‘O Jerusalem, I have set intercessors on your walls who shall cry to God all day and all night for the fulfillment of his promises. Take no rest, all you who pray, and give God no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes her respected and admired throughout the earth.’

There is a threefold rich thought: (1) The Lord Himself does not rest with regard to Zion; (2) He does not want His petitioners to keep silence in their prayers for Israel; (3) and He does not want His people to leave Him alone concerning Israel’s deliverance.”

This may refer to the theological truth that God has limited Himself to the prayers of His children. It is not overcoming the reluctance of an apathetic Deity, but it is the intercessory ministry of the people of God claiming the promises of God. The verb ‘appointed’ and ‘remind’ have both the same root meaning in Hebrew. We are to remind, not rest until God’s appointed blessing has come. A person that will not rest is a watchman; he is a prayer warrior, who constantly pray, giving YHWH no rest until God’s people and His land restored.

Charles Spurgeon gives an illustration of a beggar on ‘Give him no rest.’ He says, ‘Whenever you see me go over this crossing ask me for a penny. If I do not give you one, run after me, or call after me all the way down the street. If that does not succeed, lay hold upon me, and do not let me go until I help you. Beg without ceasing.’ Did any one of you ever invite applicants to call often, and make large requests of you?… (but here God did) He does in effect say, ‘Press me! Urge me! Lay hold on my strength. Wrestle with me, as when a man seeks to give another; that he may prevail with him.’ All this, and much more, is included in the expression, ‘Give him no rest’

This attitude has a New Testament companion. “Friend, lend me three loaves . . .” From within the house an irritated voice calls out, “Go away!” But the neighbor won’t go away. This guy is maddeningly persistent. His horsefly annoyance finally wears down the sleeper, who gets up and gives him some bread. It’s a funny story Jesus tells on the road to Jerusalem. But it is also a painful story, because it flies in the face of our common human experience. Granted, sometimes our prayers are answered in wonderful ways. But sometimes we ask, seek, and knock to no avail. The sick person we pray for does not get well. The sick marriage we pray for dissolves in divorce. What Jesus says here about prayer seems to contradict our own experience. I will concede that there does come a time when God makes it clear that our prayer requests will not, cannot, be fulfilled. But until God makes that clear, I will keep praying. I will keep asking, seeking, knocking. “You who put the LORD in remembrance—give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem,” said Isaiah (62:6-7). What a thing to say: give God no rest! But that is what I propose to do. If a grouchy sleepyhead will answer a midnight knock just to get some peace and quiet, how much more readily will God open the door to his children and supply their more desperate needs?

“Thou shalt no longer be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any longer be termed Desolate; but thou shalt be called Hephzibah {Heb. my delight is in her} and thy land Beulah; {Heb. I am married to her}; for the will of the Lord shall be in thee, and thy land shall be married.” This is the imagery of a wedding celebration. We just witnessed last Friday a beautiful wedding celebration. The message bible says ‘your land will be like a wedding celebration. Our land last Friday literally was a wedding celebration. As Mike delights in Juvy, we will be called delights by our Groom YHWH. And our land will be Beulah, we will be married to YHWH.
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭62:4‬ ‭JUB‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

I shall no longer be termed forsaken. This land will no long be termed desolate. Desolation has a connotation to a person that is an outcast. Do you have the title as an outcast written all over your face? Is this how you felt for yourself; an outcast, forsaken by YHWH and wondered YHWH will ever love you again. YHWH says you shall be called Hephzibah and your land called Beulah. Hephzibah mean the LORD delights in you. Beulah means married to the LORD. The idea is not of our inheritance in the LORD but His inheritance in us. We often have only a superficial understanding of how precious we are to God. The idea of ‘rest not’ is again repeated in Isaiah 62:6-7 which says, ‘“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night; ye that make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent and give him no rest, until he establishes and until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” As God told me in September 2018, ‘you are not allowed to stop fasting’, YHWH is telling me ‘rest not’ until this church, my life is established as a place of praise.

In September 20, 2019 Prime Minster of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu said:

🔵 China, which has 1.3 billion inhabitants;
🔵 Europeans – France, Great Britain, Germany – with 350 million inhabitants.
🔵 the only countries in the world to send objects into space!

🔵 and say that only 60 years ago,
🔵 we were led, ashamed and hopeless, to slaughter!
🔵 we have experienced the smoking ruins of Europe,

🔴 people continue to see friends.

Some claim our morale is low.

The God of Israel created the Heaven’s and the Earth.
The Guardian of Israel never slumbers or sleep! The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Glory to the God of Israel
